Early in the morning we start our trip in Salta city, in this day we will get Chile over an asphalt road. When we get Purmamarca in Jujuy province, we take the road know as Paso de Jama up to cross The Andes, after few hours we will cross Salinas Grandes, our famous salt flat in Jujuy, and then a little village of Susques where we can have a lunch.
After that, we keep going to the west straight to the Chilean Border where we can find a Custom building of Argentina and we will stop to be pacient and fill forms in migration to cross the border in JAMA.
If we are lucky, in 1 hour we will be ready to continue 150 kms. more to get San Pedro de Atacama where we will stop again in a Chilean custom building to do the same...and may be take more time because they will check all our luggage looking for only god know ... and fruits or vegetables because is forbidden to bring it.
Anyway...the road to cross The Andes is beautiful, awesome...we will see salt flats, high lakes and huge volcanoes snow caped.
